18 Weeks (November 24th - 30th)

I am 6 inches CRL and 8.5 oz. My hair is growing in and my reproductive organs are developing!

Baby’s First Plane Ride & Trip to Michigan:
I went to visit family over Thanksgiving (November 26th – 29th). I was able to celebrate with Tony’s family on Thanksgiving and my family the next day. On Saturday morning, I went shopping with my parents to Babies ‘R’ Us and JCPenney. On Saturday evening, I went to my bother in-law and sister in-law’s house to have dinner with them, along with Tony’s parents. Jessica had a lot of baby shower decorations for a shower she was going to have for her sister, but the baby came before the shower, so she gave me everything she had to use for mine. Thank you Jessica, the decorations are perfect!

While visiting, my mom and I got the baby shower invites ready to send out. Save the date: Sunday, December 27th at 2:00 pm!

During the visit I also revealed the gender to the families. For my mom, I put a bow on my tummy of the color gender we are having, so she would see when I got off the plane. For my dad, it was a phone call to his work, but he had his co-workers on standby and once I spilled the beans everyone cheered in the background! For Tony’s family, I showed everyone the bow that I wore at the airport. My father in-law then pinned the bow to his shirt the rest of the day (he was one of the only ones to guess the gender correctly). By the end of the visit, many gender specific items were purchased…this baby is spoiled already!

While I was gone, Tony did a lot of work around the house. He cleared everything out of the baby’s room to prepare for painting. He also raked all the leaves from the yard, primed the hallway wall to paint, and put up the Christmas tree. He would never admit it, but I think he kept himself busy because he missed me so much!!!

17 Weeks (November 17th - 23rd)

I'm 5.5 inches CRL and 7 oz. My bones are ossifying and my limbs are growing fast!

We have a surprise confession to make! We couldn't wait any longer, so this week we paid to get a gender determining ultrasound done at a local business that specializes in 4D ultrasound packages. It took two sessions before the baby would cooperate and show the goods, but we found out what we are having! However, we are not going to post the results until we've had a chance to tell our families over the Thanksgiving holiday. What do you think it is??? Stay tuned...

We made changes to our registry this week. We have decided to register at Target instead of Burlington Coat Factory. Therefore, we now have baby registries at Babies 'R' Us and Target.

We have been working on the baby's room recently. One of Tony's co-workers is going to take our desk and old computer this weekend, so the room will be clear of that. We moved all of our other office stuff to the built-in desk in the back family room. We also cleaned out the closets and got rid of some much needed junk! Once to room is painted, we can finally get the crib/changing table combo out of the boxes and put together!!!

16 Weeks (November 10th - 16th)

I'm about 5 oz and 5 inches this week. Mommy should feel me kick soon if she hasn't yet!

This week, we got a baby swing from my friend Joan and her husband Jason who had a baby 10 months ago. It is from the Fisher Price Zen Collection. The colors aren't gender specific and it matches our decor perfectly! It has various swing speeds and can swing both side to side and back/forth. It also plays music and sounds. Check it out here. They were also kind enough to give us a jungle themed playmat, a boppy pillow, and a sleep positioner. Thank you Joan & Jason!

Tony got me a pregnancy gift this week! He got me a dozen long stemmed roses and a Japanese orchid (I just hope I can keep it alive). The best part was the sweet card that he included. I love my husband!!!

I felt baby move quite a bit more this week. I can only describe it like the churning feeling you get when you're nervous only down lower and stronger.

Craving:
Krispy Kreme Mini Crullers

15 Weeks (November 3rd - 9th)

I’m 4.5 inches CRL and 3 oz. My nails are formed and you can soon tell if I’m a boy or girl!

I think I felt the baby move this week! Right now, it just feels like little flutters, but I am almost positive it was the baby and not just gas bubbles-haha!

My parents surprised us with an offer to buy us plane tickets to Michigan for the Thanksgiving holiday. Tony decided not to go so he could stay home with the pets and relax. However, he is still going to drive me to and from the airport, so I don’t have to go to Atlanta and back by myself (or pay for parking)!

We are planning on visiting the daycare/school we want to use this week. The name of the place is St. Bede and the nursery is part of a Catholic school. If we decide to stay in Montgomery, our child can go from infancy all the way up through 12th grade graduation at the same school. They even offer an online website where you can check in on your child throughout the day! The school is literally just down the street from where we live and we have a couple of friends who already have their kids there.

Craving:
Dill pickle ham rolls
