I’m over an inch tall & weigh four grams! I’ve already grown verifiable fingers & toes.
Baby’s First Concert...
Monday, 9-28-09 at 9weeks and 6 days (1 day shy of 10 weeks), we went to see Blink 182, Fallout Boy, All American Rejects, and Asher Roth in concert at the Verizon Amphitheater in Birmingham, AL. We were hesitant to go with it being on a Monday night, but are so glad we did because it was a great time. Unfortunately, the All American Rejects didn’t perform, but the rest of the acts made up for it. We were able to get some good pictures and a video of Kristina’s favorite song, “What’s My Age Again?’ by Blink 182. This was a reunion tour for Blink, so it was probably the last opportunity to see the m live. The tickets were only $20 and our seats were excellent! It was our first time at this venue and we were both extremely impressed. It was easy to get to, had free parking, had parking close to the venue, affordable ticket prices, and good seats.
Kristina had a vivid dream this week that we had a baby girl with Aubrun colored hair and blue eyes. We shall see if this comes true...

8 Weeks September 15th - 21st)
I’m nearly an inch tall & weigh one whole gram. My tiny earlobes are visibly developed!
Kristina took a couple of labor prediction quizzes online just for fun and these are the results:
1. The day you deliver, outside will be foggy. Your baby will arrive in the morning. After a labor lasting approximately 11 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and will be 19-1/2 inches long. This child will have medium gray eyes and a little patch of black hair.
2.I know you were hoping we weren't going to say this, but don't expect this baby to come early. Your baby is nice and comfy tucked away in your womb and has no interest in joining the rest of the world. We predict your baby will be born after its due date. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning. It is predicted that your baby will weigh approximately 7.0 pounds and that your labor will be about 12 hours long.
Craving:
Sushi, even though I am not supposed to have it!
New Symptoms:
Nauseous
Heartburn
Dreams

7 Weeks (September 8th - 14th)
I'm 5/8 of an inch tall; fingers & toes are getting longer. My brain is just starting to grow.
Kristina had enrolled in school to get her graduate degree before we found out we were pregnant. Classes started this week. However, after attending the first week of classes, we felt it was best if she withdrew from the program. It was a hard decision at first, but ultimately was worth it. Now we can enjoy our first pregnancy without the stress of school. It can always be done in the future and as Aunt Sandy put it, "You go back to school when you have to and right now you don't."
Kristina turned 26 this week and we celebrated our 2nd Wedding anniversary! The baby is the best birthday & anniversary present we could ever ask for!
No new symptoms this week!

6 Weeks (September 1st - 7th)

I'm 7 - 9 mm crown to rump; my limbs are forming & I'm starting to grow a nose and eyes.
We went to our first prenatal appointment this week! After we spoke to the doctor, Kristina had some bloodwork done, and then we got to have our first ultrasound! The baby measured about 6 weeks and 2 days. Surpringly, we were able to even hear the heart beat...best sound that we've ever heard! The heartrate was a strong 120 for the age of the baby (heart starts pumping at the end of the 5 weeks).
